HONG KONG, 16 September 2020. Linnovate Partners has been admitted as a signatory to the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Formed in 2005 by then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, the PRI is internationally recognised as the leading global network for investors committed to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into their investment decision making and stewardship policies.

By becoming a signatory to the Principles, Linnovate Partners is placing a high priority to develop smart services to help alternative assets investors on their own ESG journeys, particularly with respect to data management and monitoring.

“As a next generation service partner to the world’s leading alternative assets investors, our public commitment to the Principles embeds ESG within our own organisation, and will enable us to help clients manage their ESG obligations,” said Henry Lin, Founder and CEO of Linnovate Partners. “As long term owners and developers of businesses, alternative assets investors have a crucial part to play in improving ESG outcomes and lead the charge for responsible investment.”

“We are pleased to welcome Linnovate Partners on board as a PRI signatory”, Fiona Reynolds, CEO of PRI, commented. “It is great to see their commitment to incorporate ESG into their organisation as well as support their clients on their own ESG journeys.”

About Principles for Responsible Investment:

The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. Supported by the United Nations, it works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. The PRI acts in the long-term interests of its signatories, of the financial markets and economies in which they operate and ultimately of the environment and society as a whole. Launched in New York in 2006, the PRI has grown to more than 3,000 signatories, managing over $100 trillion AUM.

The six Principles are:

  • We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
  • We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
  • We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
  • We will promote acceptance and implementation of the principles within the investment industry.
  • We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the principles.
  • We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the principles.
