Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible to manage a team of fund accountants to deliver seamless fund administration services to asset and fund managers of private equity funds. In addition, the role will be the main point of contact from the servicing team for private equity clients. This role will report to the Head of Alternative Fund Services.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the maintenance and growth of private equity fund clients for the Company.
Responsible for a broad spectrum of managerial tasks, including supervision and guidance for the client services team, client and personnel management, as well as assisting the Head of AFS in growing presence in the local market.
Account for the timeliness, accuracy and control of the entire reporting process.
Manage multiple fund relationships, including supervision of various client service teams ensuring meeting of all client deliverables.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting, specifically with respect to alternative investment funds, with a focus on Private Equity/Venture Capital/Real Estate sectors.
Leading the team, and in the driver’s seat for guiding your Senior Managers and Fund Accountants in accomplishing their tasks and service delivery to clients.
Supporting business on ad hoc reporting requirements. You will be playing a key role in setting up and taking on new client structures and participate in new business discussions with prospects and existing clients.
Collaborate with teams across other offices for the preparation and implementation of new structures and procedures.
Be the key client contact for the delivery of high-quality services and to maintain long term relationship with private equity clients.
Participate in pre-project stage discussion with clients and to define more detailed services model for specific clients as required.
Execute the company’s business strategies to attain goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce or Finance or a related degree with a major in Accounting.
An internationally recognized accounting qualification such as CPA, CA is preferable.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting with a specialty in private equity, and a combination of audit/fund administration and private equity funds experience is highly regarded.
Excellent knowledge of different accounting standards (IFRS, USGAAP).

Well versed in the private equity sector or auditing in asset management or fund administration.
Results oriented and ability to multitask and manage high volumes of priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong client focus and have high sensitivity for quality and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills with multi-tasking capabilities.
Fluency in both spoken and written English. Proficiency in spoken Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
Proficiency in Excel and other windows-based software.
Experience with fund accounting and alternative investments software solutions (E-front, Investran) is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of other Accounting software (Kingdee, SunSystems and Quickbook, etc.) is a plus.
